Cheesy tuna pasta bake

    A hearty and delicious pasta dish that everyone will love. Pasta is baked with tuna and vegetables in a creamy cheese sauce. Enjoy with a side salad and crusty bread, if desired.

    Serves: 4 - 6

    • 450g pasta shells
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 (295g) tin condensed cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 1/2 (300g) tin mixed vegetables, drained
    • 1 (185g) tin tuna, drained
    • 275g grated Cheddar cheese, divided
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add 1 tablespoon oil to the water. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. In a 2 litre saucepan over medium heat, combine the soup, vegetables, tuna and half of the cheese. Gently fold pasta into the soup mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour mixture into a 20x30cm baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
    3. Bake in a preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.

    I would like to try this but don't like mushroom soup, do i have to use it?  -  12 Dec 2013


    very easy to make, nice and cheap aswell,and best of all it tastes lovely. I freeze some of mine, once defrosted, reheat 1-2 mins in microwave.  -  10 Dec 2012
