    About this recipe: A deliciously different pasta salad, which will be loved by everyone. Linguine is tossed with crab sticks, salad greens, coriander and avocado in a soy sauce dressing.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 450g uncooked linguine pasta
    • 250ml soy sauce
    • 125ml extra-virgin olive oil
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 75ml distilled malt vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
    • 285g mixed baby salad greens
    • 225g crab/seafood sticks, chopped
    • 1 bunch chopped coriander
    • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Place linguine in the pot and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente; drain.
    2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, sugar, vinegar and sesame seeds.
    3. In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the soy sauce dressing, greens, crab sticks, coriander and avocado. Chill until serving.

    As suggested by other reviewers I halved the soy sauce. I now wonder if it was too little, I think I'll add a tad more next time. There will be a next time as this is a different side dish and one that I'm happy I found. Thanks Outliercook!  -  25 Jan 2011  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    I really like this recipe! I love the combined sweet and salty taste...however, I agree with the previous reviewer on the point of the recipe calling for too much soy sauce.     This recipe sounded delicious to me, but when I made it...too salty tasting--too much soy sauce! The soy sauce covered the taste of cilantro and avocado completely-- which is what made it sound so good to me.  -  19 Sep 2005  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
