Easy beef pasta bake

About this recipe: This is a cheap and cheerful dish, which is quick and easy to make. Pasta is baked with beef with condensed soup and processed cheese.

Serves: 8 

  • 225g pasta
  • 450g lean minced beef
  • 1 (295g) tin condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (295g) tin condensed vegetable soup
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 8 slices processed cheese, such as Kraft singles

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  3. In a large frying pan over medium heat, brown the minced beef; drain fat. Stir in tomato and vegetable soups, salt and pepper. Mix in the pasta and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer mixture to an 18x28cm baking dish and layer with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly brown.
