285g egg pasta
675g minced beef
1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes with juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon caster sugar
350ml soured cream
85g cream cheese
1/2 onion, chopped
120g grated Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
Meanwhile, in a large frying pan over medium heat, brown the minced beef. Add the tomatoes with juice, salt and sugar and simmer for 15 minutes.
In a separate medium bowl, combine the soured cream, cream cheese and onion and mix well. In a 20x30cm baking dish, place half of the pasta, then all of the meat mixture, then the cream mixture. Top with the remaining pasta and sprinkle with the cheese.
