About this recipe:
These beef burgers have the perfect balance of flavour and juiciness. Jalapeno-spiced burgers are grilled on the barbecue, then served with Cheddar in a bun.
Makes: 4 burgers
1 fresh jalapeno chilli, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
450g lean minced beef
4 slices Cheddar cheese
4 burger buns
- Preheat barbecue for high heat.
- Mix jalapeno chilli, garlic, onion and minced beef in a medium bowl. Form into four burgers.
- Brush barbecue grate with oil. Grill burgers for 5 minutes per side or until well done. Top with Cheddar cheese and serve on buns.
Can be purchased in speciality markets or online. If unavailable, use Scotch bonnet chillies to taste.
