    About this recipe: This is a smashing, simple and easy pasta salad for family gatherings or other occasions when a 'crowd-pleaser' dish is just the ticket.

    Serves: 8 

    • 450g macaroni pasta
    • 8 hard boiled eggs, grated
    • 150g black olives, chopped
    • 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
    • 300g pickle (such as Branston®)
    • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard, or to taste
    • 120g mayonnaise, or as needed
    • salt and black pepper to taste
    • 4 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    • paprika to taste

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Place macaroni in the pot, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente, and drain.
    2. In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta, grated eggs, olives, onion and pickle with some of its liquid. Mix in mustard and mayonnaise, increasing the amount of mayonnaise as desired. Season with salt and pepper. Top with sliced eggs, and sprinkle with paprika to serve.
