Mm, now you can make your very own maple liqueur for those yummy autumn season cocktails like pumpkintinis! This mixture of rye whisky and maple syrup is also quite yummy stirred into hot coffee, hot chocolate or other hot cocktails!
This one is good. I've made honey liqueur like this, using brandy vs rye, and this tastes a lot like mead (honey wine). Brandy would also go nicely with the maple syrup. Warm the maple syrup a bit and it will mix in quicker. - 03 Oct 2010 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
Wow. For so simple, this is really good. I'm betting aging will make it even better! I used Jack Daniel's because I'm broke - 06 Nov 2010 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
I just tried this recipe with amber rum instead of whiskey and then added 1 cup cream and wow!!! - 28 Nov 2011 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
