Maple whisky liqueur for autumn cocktails

    Mm, now you can make your very own maple liqueur for those yummy autumn season cocktails like pumpkintinis! This mixture of rye whisky and maple syrup is also quite yummy stirred into hot coffee, hot chocolate or other hot cocktails!

    Serves: 16 

    • 240ml good quality rye whisky
    • 240ml maple syrup

    Prep:5min  ›  Ready in:5min 

    1. Pour the whisky into a pint jar or bottle with a tight fitting cork. Stir in the maple syrup until dissolved. Store in the refrigerator.

    This one is good. I've made honey liqueur like this, using brandy vs rye, and this tastes a lot like mead (honey wine). Brandy would also go nicely with the maple syrup. Warm the maple syrup a bit and it will mix in quicker.  -  03 Oct 2010  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
