    • 1 tablespoons dried active baking yeast
    • 225ml (8 fl oz) warm water (45 C)
    • 275g (10 oz) bread flour

    • 2 teaspoons caster sugar

    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:35min

    1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
    2. In a large bowl, combine bread flour, olive oil, salt, sugar and the yeast mixture; stir well to combine. Beat well until a stiff dough has formed. Cover and let rise until doubled in volume, about 30 minutes.
    3. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.
    4. Turn dough out onto a well floured surface. Form dough into a round and roll out into a pizza base shape. Cover with your favourite sauce and toppings and bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

Something else. disolve the yeast in a small amount of the water. mix the rest together add yeast mix, then add water in small amounts until firm and not wet. If it goes too sticky add a small amount of flour. - 04 Jun 2011

Very good dough, although I would say serves 2-4 or makes 2 medium pizza's. - 04 Jun 2011

    "Serves 12"?? It might make a 12inch pizza, but I'd say it serves 4. - 15 Apr 2011
