Cream together butter and dark brown soft sugar until smooth. Stir in flour and oats. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4
Roll out dough on a lightly floured and sugared surface to 5mm thickness. Cut out with a pastry cutter, or cut into rectangles with a sharp knife, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
really nice and simple recipe. My mixture made 20 and I gave the biscuits about 12 mins cooking time. They taste lovely :-). p.s. I made them a second time but didn't chill them and it didn't work at all. I wouldn't recommend skipping this part and this may answer DebbieP18s question. - 20 Oct 2013

also the biscuits have to be cooked with a greased pan and if u r like me and u dont follow measurements if u add too much plain flour add milk - 10 Sep 2012
