Quick Chinese Noodles

About this recipe: A quick stir-fry of noodles, garlic, soy sauce and chilli. Garnish with chopped spring onion and peanuts if you like.

Serves: 4 

  • 225g rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 spring onion, chopped

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Add noodles, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic until tender. Stir in noodles, and season with soy sauce, chilli sauce, salt and pepper. Sprinkle top with chopped spring onion.

Great little bit of flavour to the noodles and veg. I had a packed of green beans that needed using and some left over cauliflower and broccoli. We mixed them with the noodles and sauce and ate it with pork chops. Nice quick dinner - 22 Mar 2016
