About this recipe: This lasagne is for anyone who doesn't like tomato pasta sauce - it's a creamy white lasagne with spinach and sausage.


Serves: 12 

  • 450g pork sausage meat or sausages, chopped
  • 250g fresh or frozen spinach (thawed and squeezed)
  • 1 (480g) jar white lasagne sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 275g grated Cheddar cheese
  • 400g ricotta cheese
  • 40g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 335g lasagne sheets
  • 120g grated mozzarella cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the sausage until evenly brown. Mix in the spinach and white sauce. Season with pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the Cheddar cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and egg.
  4. In a large baking dish, layer 1/3 of the sausage mixture, 1/3 of the lasagne sheets, and 1/3 of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers twice, and top with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover, and bake 45 minutes or until bubbling and golden on top.
