70g toasted sesame seeds
110g butter, melted
150g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
220g dark brown soft sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Lightly grease a 23cm square cake pan.
Stir sesame seeds into melted butter, and set aside to cool. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. In a medium bowl, mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla into the butter mixture. Add dry ingredients and stir until well blended.
Pour mixture into the prepared cake tin, spread evenly. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
