    About this recipe: An easy pasta dinner that the whole family will enjoy. Minced beef and macaroni pasta are cooked in a tomato-mushroom pasta sauce. Serve with garlic bread.

    Serves: 8 

    • 450g macaroni or pasta shells
    • 450g mince
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 475ml passata or sieved tomatoes
    • 200g sliced mushrooms, fresh or tinned
    • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 (400g) chopped tomatoes

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and place in large saucepan.
    2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, cook the mince over medium heat; just before beef is browned, stir in onion.
    3. Add mince to pasta, and stir in passata, mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper and chopped tomatoes. Cook over low heat, 10 to 15 minutes, or until heated through.
