Make this snack by roasting fresh pumpkin seeds in olive oil or butter. Worcestershire sauce adds a distinctive flavour.

Ingredients

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
1 dessertspoon Worcestershire sauce
150g (5 oz) raw whole pumpkin seeds

Preparation method

1. Preheat oven to 140 C / Gas mark 1.
2. Combine the olive oil, salt, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and pumpkin seeds. Mix thoroughly and place in shallow baking dish.
3. Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

    I make this recipe myself but substitute the butter with olive oil which is healthier and doesn't burn. Very yummy!

    I roast pumpkin seeds on a regular basis, and I always use this recipe now that I have found it. I must warn you: the more spice mixture you use, the better they are! The perfect balance for me is actually quadruple the mixture and still use the same amount of seeds. Thanks for the recipe!
