About this recipe: Tomato and cheese low-fat bread for the bread machine. You can use tomato juice instead of water if you prefer the bread to look red and have more tomato flavour.

Serves: 12 

  • 250ml water (or tomato juice)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 2 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 340g bread flour
  • 60g quinoa flour or bran
  • 2 tablespoons chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 25g grated Asiago or Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried active baking yeast

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Ready in:1hr15min 

  1. Place all ingredients into bread machine in order given.
  2. Bake according to bread machine directions for regular bake.
