About this recipe:
This pilaf couldn't be easier, and is a great side to barbecued meats. Add kidney or pinto beans for a Mexican-inspired dish.
200g (7 oz) uncooked white rice
1 clove garlic, minced
450ml (16 fl oz) water
1 (270g) jar salsa
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring the water to the boil and then reduce the temperature to simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender. Fluff the rice when finished.
For extra flavour, use vegetable stock instead of water.
