    About this recipe: These snack bars are absolutely delicious. They are flavoured with coconut, almonds, chocolate chips and cranberries, but feel free to add whatever you want to them.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 24 

    • 250g porridge oats
    • 1 (397g) tin sweetened condensed milk
    • 30g butter, melted
    • 75g desiccated coconut
    • 100g flaked almonds
    • 175g dark chocolate chips
    • 60g dried cranberries

    Method

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 20x30cm or similar sized tin.
    2. In a large bowl, mix together oats, condensed milk, butter, coconut, almonds, chocolate chips and cranberries with your hands until well blended. Press flat into the prepared tin.
    3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, depending on how crunchy you want them. Lightly browned just around the edges will give you moist, chewy bars. Let cool for 5 minutes, cut into squares then let cool completely before serving.
