About this recipe:Minced beef chilli with a taste of BBQ... simple and delicious!! I make this in the slow cooker for ease but you can make this on the hob just as well. I use Asda's mixed beans which is haricot, borlotti, cannellini and red kidney beans as it has a tasty tomato sauce but a regular tin of kidney beans works just as well.
2 tins of mixed beans in tomato sauce (bought from asda!)
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons chilli powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon HP BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Bisto powder to thicken
salt and pepper to taste

Brown off the mince in a frying pan. Add to the slow cooker.
Add all the rest of the ingredients apart from the Bisto powder. Give it a stir and put on the lid. This should be cooked on LOW for around 6 hours.
Once the chilli is cooked you may want to thicken the consistency with the Bisto. I usually add a couple of teaspoons of Bisto powder to water making a creamy mixture and stir into the chilli whilst it's still warm or when it has around half an hour left of cooking time. Season well with salt. If you fancy a real spicy dish add more chilli powder or even chop in a fresh chilli or 3!!
Serve with rice or fried potatoes, sprinkle of cheese and a large dollop of soured cream.
