Easy beef stew

About this recipe: Easy to make beef stew. Serve with mashed potatoes or buttery bread. Takes about 3 hours but is worth the wait :)

Serves: 4 

  • 500g stewing beef, cubed
  • vegetable oil
  • water
  • 2 OXO® stock cubes
  • gravy granules
  • 7 carrots, chopped
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1 leek, chopped
  • 1 turnip, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Brown beef in a pot with some vegetable oil.
  2. Add water, OXO cubes and gravy granules to beef. Vary the amount to achieve desired consistency.
  3. Add vegetables to mix.
  4. Leave on a medium low heat for 3 hours to stew. Add salt and pepper to flavour and serve.
