Homemade almond paste

    10 min

Almond paste is similar to marzipan. It's not as sweet and works well in Christmas stollen and any other recipe that calls for marzipan. This one is quick and easy to make.

love this, so much better for stollen, nicer taste for not being as sweet as marzipan, will be making this every time now, thank you,  -  30 Nov 2011

I used this great base to do a subtle raw sweet vegan paste. Almond powder, Agave syrup around 100ml, and the zest of a lemon: Best almond paste, without the added Almond essence, as it can be over powering. The zest of the lemon replace the essence in a lovely way. Great paste for dipping in chocolate as really not sweet  -  17 Dec 2013
