About this recipe: Turn sage and onion stuffing into a moreish party nibble! Simply prepare the stuffing, then roll them into balls and wrap with bacon or pancetta. Bake them till crisp to make a special Christmas treat.

  • 1 (85g) pack of Paxo Sage & Onion stuffing mix
  • 200g of streaky back bacon or pancetta strips

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220 C / Gas mark 7.
  2. Make the Paxo according to the packet instructions and form the Paxo stuffing mix into eight balls.
  3. Wrap the stuffing balls in the bacon and place onto a greased baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes.

For an interesting alternative chop the bacon up finely, fry until crispy, add to the mixture then shape into balls.

These are excellent . We have them as an accompaniment to roast turkey, or chicken. They usually take around 20 mins in my oven. No matter how many I make, they all go. I do however secure them with a cocktail stick for during cooking. - 23 Apr 2012

Tried these little fellows and I have to say.... Brilliant!! I mixed pork, apple and caramelised red onions in with the stuffing balls and the results were amazing and not a single one was left... Faultless! - 31 Mar 2014
