A tasty and easy tomato sauce used for a base on homemade pizza. This sauce is also nice with cooked chicken chunks for a quick chicken tomato pasta dish.

Altered ingredient amounts. as i didnt have any shallots i used half an onion, i also added a teaspoon of sugar too cut the acidity of the tomatoes, 5 chopped mushroom and also added a teaspoon of worcestershire sauce. i also only simmered it for 60 mins. it turned out great. - 28 Feb 2011
Excellent recipe, makes enough for 2 large pizzas, i made it with my own slight twist and instead of shallots i put half a red onion in and instead of oregano i put some dried chilli flakes in, just to give it a slight kick! - 26 Jan 2014
I made this recipe but I added a teaspoon of paprika and 1 onion. I cut my onions too big so I put the mixture in a blender, it was very nice!!!! - 13 May 2015
