It's well worth making your own pizza base, sauce and topping. My version here tastes authentic - thin base with homemade pizza sauce, topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, salami and chorizo with a sprinkle of oregano. I also vary it by adding jalapenos, mushroom and onion. Add your own favourite toppings but be careful not to overload it. Fresh yeast for the base is available from most supermarkets that have an in-store bakery.

I have made my own pizza dough in the bread maker but cheated this time, and bought ready made. But made my own tomato sauce, and followed the rest of the recipe to the letter. Very tasty, moist topping. Have already made it twice, and will do it again. - 27 Sep 2015
