75g (3 oz) porridge oats
1 banana, broken into chunks
14 frozen strawberries
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a blender, combine soya milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and sugar if desired. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
For a finer texture, first process the oats in the blender till fine, and then follow with the remaining ingredients.
Yummmmm! At first i was skeptical about putting oats in a smoothie but as im rushed most mornings it's better than waiting for porridge so i thought id give it a go. Great recipe! you can't tell there are oats in this smoothie, they do make the smoothie thicker. But it's so filling and i'm not hungry till lunchtime, so i luv it - 16 May 2013
