About this recipe:Mouthwatering rib eye fillet steak cooked to your liking in a rich red wine and mushroom sauce. Serve with fries and salad or vegetable. You can use any cut of steak you prefer, but I find rib eye works extremely well.
Heat fry pan to high heat. Add steaks and seal well on both sides. I like it cooked fairly rare but cook how you like it.
Remove steaks from pan and rest on a plate for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, turn the heat down and add mushrooms to the meat juices and add a little butter if needed. Cook for a couple of minutes then add the red wine and bubble for a further couple of minutes. Season with salt and pepper and finally whisk in the knob of butter. Serve.
