Low fat, egg free malt loaf

    55 min

This recipe has very little fat and no eggs. It's still tasty and stops my craving for chocolate! Try it toasted, too. For me it's a 5 star recipe! When cool wrap in cling film. I don't put it in the fridge because it goes dry. Lasts up to a week.

This is nice, but it doesn't have a very strong flavour. I'd use a bit more liquid, too - the mixture as in the recipe is very thick.  -  29 Sep 2011

I made this but didn't have golden syrup so I used half treacle and half sweetener to cut down on sugar and only had a little dried cranberries so used them and substituted some of the milk with an egg but it turned out delicious! I've since made it even without the fruit and its still great!  -  20 Mar 2012
