Baked Apples with Blackberry Jam

    This is a simple recipe for a delicious pudding! Use any flavour of jam. Top with chopped nuts or serve with ice cream, if you like.

    Serves: 6 

    • 6 apples
    • 20g butter
    • blackberry jam
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 2 or 3 tablespoons water

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Peel the apples and remove the seeds with an apple corer. Transfer the apples to a baking dish. Fill the centre with blackberry jam.
    3. Put the butter in a bowl and microwave for 5 seconds until melted. Brush the apples with the melted butter.
    4. Add the honey and two to three tablespoons of hot water to a bowl. Mix. Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes.
