Foie gras with apples

    This is a recipe from my French friend Marie Laure. Serve with a balsamic vinegar reduction and crusty bread. Bon appetit!

    Serves: 4 

    • 50g salted butter
    • 3 apples, cut into quarters (Granny Smiths work well)
    • 4 fresh foie gras (250g per person)

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Add the butter to a frying pan. Add the apples and cook on high heat for 2 minutes.
    2. Lower on low heat and cook for 5 minutes until brown.
    3. Increase the heat to high again and add the foie gras then cook for 1 minute on each side.
    4. Serve immediately.
