Just tried this. Mine turned out bland but I didn't have fresh ginger. I used 1 carrot, beef mince, 1 tsp of ground ginger a tbps of red wine vinegar, and some rosemary (again dried) I could definitely detect the flavour it should have had though! so will try again.
I also think my bake dish was too shallow, but otherwise, ginger is a really good flavour to add to this! so thank you for this recipe! - 27 Nov 2011
