About this recipe:
This is an Italian pasta dish with a slight kick in it (depending on how many dried chilli flakes you add). It's quick and easy to throw together on a weeknight.
1 tablespoons olive oil
60g pancetta cubes
1 clove of garlic, crushed
800g tinned tomatoes with juice
1 decent pinch of chilli pepper flakes, or to taste
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, for serving
A few fresh basil leaves (optional)
- Add the oil to a frying pan and cook the pancetta cubes for 5 minutes. Add the garlic, tomatoes and chilli flakes. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Cook the spaghetti in water as directed on the packet. Drain and transfer to a serving bowl. Pour over sauce and garnish with grated cheese and basil.
