About this recipe: With a tin of tuna and supermarket pastry - you can make this cheesy quiche in no time. My whole family enjoys it. I usually serve it with a green salad.


Serves: 6 

  • 1 (375g) sheet puff pastry
  • 2 tins (about 350g) tuna, drained
  • 4 eggs
  • 250ml single cream
  • 50g gruyere cheese, grated
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:50min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C / Gas 4.
  2. Line a pie tin with puff pastry. Prick with a fork and spread a thin layer of mustard onto the dough. Crumble over the tuna and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  3. Whisk the eggs, cream, milk and grated cheese in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the tuna. Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Delicious very popular with the kids don't need the pastry in fact my kids requested it without I also added more cheese as prefer it cheesy - 03 Jul 2013


Puffed up beautifully and was lovely and deep. Added roasted red pepper from a jar that I had left over.increased the cheese to 100g of cheddar. Will definitely make it again. - 22 Jul 2016
