Spring Onion and Soured Cream Dip

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 225g (8 fl oz) mayonnaise
    • 1 (200ml) pot soured cream
    • 1/2 bunch spring onions, sliced
    • 1/2 bunch fresh parsley
    • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
    • 1 clove garlic, minced

    Method

    1. In an electric blender or food processor, combine mayonnaise, soured cream, spring onion, parsley, mustard and garlic. Blend until smooth. Cover and chill before serving.

    Tip:

    Try adding dill instead of parsley for a fresh twist on this dip!

    i have made this so many times that i felt compelled to leave a review. while i thought it was okay the way it was written, i am sorry but i had to tweak it a bit. i usually double the green onions and garlic for an extra kick. instead of mayo i use a bar of softened cream cheese along with the sour cream (and since i double the other stuff, low fat sc/cc can be used and nobody will realize.) with the cream cheese it gets a firmer consistency than the mayo which is what i like. overall i am still happy for finding this recipe, so thank you!!  -  03 May 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
