About this recipe:I made this recipe for a healthy dessert on St Valentine's day for my husband. It's great, so chocolaty and nutty! My husband loved it, my whole family did. You can use whatever nut you like.
200g raw nuts (you can use cashews, almonds, walnuts, macadamia or a mixture)
200g pitted dates
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons agave syrup
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Blend the nuts into a rough powder but not too fine. After that, blend the dates.
Mix the nuts and the dates, add the cocoa, the agave and melted butter. Amend according to your taste - if you like bitter chocolate, add more cocoa. If you like sweeter desserts - add agave.
Spread the mixture in a covered with paper baking pan. The smaller the pan, the thicker the brownie so you choose the sizes. Put in the fridge for chilling for 1 hour. After that, I used heart-shaped cutter to cut hearts for my St Valentine's surprise.
If you make the brownie for Valentine's, you can decorate the hearts by coconut, cocoa powder or whatever you like or have.
Really tasty and so easy to make. I didn't blend the nuts thoroughly enough, so make sure they are nearly powder like. I also added an extra 2 spoonful's of honey as the mixture wasn't sticking together properly. - 30 May 2015
