Just made this for my family (followed the recipe to the letter) it was an easy recipe to follow and it sounded lovely but in reality it was way to rich it was like eating very sweet fryed bread, they turned out crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle wich was nice but the bread soaked up to much butter even though I just dipped it in the butter. It may be worth just brushing the bread with the melted butter instead? - 15 Feb 2015
