Turn the slow cooker to low. In a frying pan, heat some oil and fry the onions for 5 minutes. Add the spices and curry paste. Stir well for a couple of minutes until the aroma is evident.
Add the beef to the slow cooker. Pour in the onion mixture. Add the tomato puree and enough water to 'just' cover the beef. Stir well. Put the lid on and cook all day. About an hour before serving, remove the lid. Turn the heat to high to thicken the sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with rice, naan breads, poppadums, chutneys, etc.
This is just so easy to make - just chuck it all in the slow cooker and forget about it !. Tastes lovely , all my family enjoyed it . It is going to be a regular in our house when im working . - 31 Jan 2012
