About this recipe: A tasty Mexican dish, great for when having guests round! Chicken strips are pan fried with peppers and onions, spiced and served wrapped in tortillas.

Serves: 4 

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 4 chicken breast fillets, cut into strips
  • 2 green peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon water
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 8 tortillas
  • 1 jar salsa
  • 1 tub sour cream

Prep:30min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:50min 

  1. Heat a large frying pan with the oil over high heat, and fry the chicken, peppers and onions, cook for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the cumin, paprika, chilli flakes, garlic granules, oregano, water and lime juice. Continue to stir until the liquid evaporates.
  3. Heat tortillas; add the chicken mixture, sour cream and salsa to each tortilla. Roll and serve.

Serving suggestion

Serve with a side salad.
