About this recipe: As most of the desserts I make, this one is a bit of my imagination. I just needed a dessert, but one which is an absolute meal replacer for breakfast or after a workout. Probably, the cake would be just as tasty using plain cream cheese or mascarpone instead of curd, but I wanted it possibly less caloric. It's moist and tastes like a real chocolate temptation!
You can serve it with cream or ice cream if you want a real indulgence.
Honey can be replaced by some diabetic sweetener if necessary. You can also add dried fruits and nuts if you prefer.
Not bad,but takes more like 40 mins to cook! After 20 mins it was still seriously gooey! Taste seems ok, better than a lot of other protein cakes I've tried. Gonna tweak it a bit and try again. - 25 Jun 2013
I replaced the cottage cheese with quark and added around a tablespoon of coconut oil which made it nice a moist and squidgy. - 02 May 2014
Was ok. Nothing like a proper cake but as far as protein recipes go it wasnt to bad. Just a bit dry. - 30 Apr 2014
