Chocolate Brownie with Rich Chocolate Sauce

    This chocolate recipe is so rich and delicious that I suggest that everybody should try it. It is suitable for any occasion, whether it is Easter, Christmas or an after dinner treat.

    Serves: 6 

    • 100g dark chocolate
    • 50g butter
    • 3 eggs
    • 200g caster sugar
    • 50g plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 80g chopped walnuts
    • Sauce
    • 200g plain chocolate
    • 15g butter
    • 50ml drinking chocolate
    • 1 tablespoon Ameretto liqueur

    1. Melt 100g chocolate and butter in a bowl.
    2. Whisk eggs and sugar till creamy. Add in flour with baking powder and then stir in the chocolate mixture. Stir in the chopped nuts.
    3. Transfer the mixture into a greased and lined 20cm square tin and bake in oven at gas 3 or 140 C for 45 minutes. When cooked, leave to cool.
    4. For the Chocolate Sauce: Melt 200g chocolate, butter and drinking chocolate in a pan. Stir in the Ameretto liqueur.

    Serving suggestion

    Place a slice of brownie on a warm plate. Spoon over with warm chocolate sauce. Decorate with vanilla ice cream and a Physalis.

    I think this is my best chocolate dessert ever. This is quite moist which is a thumb up from me and for the sauce jeeeeeez it's faultless. Taste really good.  -  03 Feb 2016
