A great pasta dish for those who like sardines. This dish is not only fast and easy to prepare, it is delicious and typical Italian fare.
Use freshly ground black pepper instead of the crushed chillies if you prefer less heat.
This was dead easy and surprisingly nice. The last time I had sardines in tomato sauce was on toast and I hated it so I was surprised to see that I had aquired another tin of the stuff! The 3 garlic cloves may have helped but it didn't overpower the dish as the taste of the sardines are quite robust. The only tweak I did was to add a huge dollop of tomate puree. Also I cut down on the amount of pasta as I did this for just 2 people so I used 150g of dried amori pasta but the amount of sauce this produced was enough to give all a nice coating - did make me wonder how the sauce would stretch with 500g of pasta. Mr said that he wouldn't mind having this again so it got his seal of approval Next time I will try bitstobytes tip and add strips of courgettes - 15 Aug 2010
Used different ingredients. i used spaghett instead of tag... & tomatoe puree was addded to tinned sardines. - 18 Mar 2009
A tasty and filling dinner. Next time I will add some vegetables to the onion to make it more balanced, but it could easily be served with a salad instead. - 17 Sep 2012
