Scrummy Flipping Pancakes

    35 min

Pancakes are one of the many recipes that I like to make with children. They are easy and fun to make and flip!

    Makes: 10 pancakes

    • 120g plain flour
    • Pinch of salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 210ml milk
    • 1 tbsp melted butter
    • 1 tbsp cooking oil

    1. Mix the flour and the pinch of salt, then dig a little hole in the middle. Crack the eggs into a hole, stir in the butter and pour in 50ml of milk.
    2. Whisk the mixture and pour the rest of the milk in bit by bit, until you have a lovely, gooey batter mix!
    3. Heat the oil in the pan (enough to cover the bottom). When the oil starts moving apart, pour in some batter (again, enough to cover the bottom). Fry the mixture for a minute or so.
    4. Give the pan a shake to stop the pancake from getting stuck! Turn the pancake over with a spatula and let it cook on the other side.
    5. When the pancakes are solid, with light-brown patches on both sides, slide them onto a big plate and cover until they are ready to serve!
    6. Enjoy your pancakes with berries, or with lemon juice and a pinch of sugar, or even a drizzle of scrummy maple syrup!
