Honey soy ginger stir fry sauce

    Just like the name says, a spicy honey soy sauce that makes your stir fry sing. Goes well with any stir fry, whether vegetable, seafood or meat.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 5 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon chilli oil
    • 3 tablespoons grated root ginger
    • 1 teaspoon chilli garlic paste
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 60ml chicken or vegetable stock
    • 1 tablespoon cornflour

    1. Mix all ingredients together in a cup.
    2. Add to any stir fry at the end of the cooking process and cook just long enough for the cornflour to thicken a little.

    Nice and easy-to-prepare sauce for adding to stir-fried noodles and/or veg - I have a bit of a sweet tooth though, so if I was making it again I'd add more honey and less vinegar  -  04 Jun 2012


    Wow. This was fab. I used less vinegar and more honey as per previous review. I didn't use 3 tablespoons of ginger, did we mean teaspoons? It is runny until it goes in the pan when it thickens up. Delicious, so fresh tasting!  -  10 Apr 2016
