    About this recipe: Tasty for all ages. Very nice with mixed berries, a combination of tart and sweet apples, or with fresh peaches.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 125g self-raising flour
    • 75g butter or margarine
    • 75g caster sugar
    • 25g porridge oats
    • 350 - 400g prepared fruit (tinned, fresh or frozen)

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Sieve the self-raising flour into a mixing bowl, add the butter or margarine and rub them together until it looks like breadcrumbs.
    3. Now add the sugar and porridge oats and stir.
    4. Place the fruit into the bottom of a loaf tin and add the mixture on top.
    5. Put the loaf tin into the oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
    6. Now enjoy with ice cream. Serve warm.

    Make it healthier

    Add dessicated coconut and almonds when you add the sugar and oats.
