Rustic Yorkshire puddings

    Glorious Yorkshire puddings. Perfect accompanient to any roast or simply on their own with a good slug of gravy.

    Makes: 6 Yorkshire puddings

    • 5 medium eggs (or eggs equivalent to 240ml)
    • 128g plain flour
    • 240ml milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon malt vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon dried sage

    1. Place the eggs into the mixing bowl, then milk and flour. Then add salt, malt vinegar and sage.
    2. Whisk the ingredients together until light and airy.
    3. Once whisked together, place batter mix in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
    4. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Take a muffin tray with a touch of oil in each hole and place in the oven for 10 minutes.
    5. After 10 minutes, take the batter out of the fridge and pour equal amounts into each hole. Place back in the oven for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.


    You can add any herbs to the batter mix to your liking.

    A neighbor gave me some fresh sage from his garden, so I used 3 tsp chopped, and Egg Beaters® (egg substite) to make these puddings. Easy to make and excellent flavor.  -  12 Jul 2015
