Tikka lamb chops

    Tandoori style lamb chops, marinated in a curry spiced yoghurt sauce, and then baked in the oven. Use an additional 100g yoghurt and mix it with mint sauce for a lovely dip.

    Serves: 2 

    • 400g natural yoghurt
    • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
    • 1 tablespoon garam masala
    • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
    • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
    • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
    • 2 teaspoons garlic puree
    • 6 lamb chops

    1. Pour the yoghurt into a mixing bowl then add the rest of the ingredients and mix together until well blended. Add the lamb chops and cover them in the marinade. Place the marinating lamb chops in the fridge and leave for 6 hours.
    2. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Place the lamb chops on a wire rack.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

    Delicious. A change from looking lamb chops traditionally served with mint sauce  -  17 Jan 2015


    Not spicy enough for me and the chops were too bony although that's not the fault of the recipe. It was ok but I doubt I'd bother again  -  26 Aug 2016
