About this recipe: This is a treat if ever there was one. Creamy orange quark filling is sandwiched between two chocolate buns.

  • 125g quark
  • 9 tablespoons sweetener
  • 3 sachets Options® orange drink
  • 2 drops vanilla extract
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. To make the cream filling, whisk together the quark, 1 tablespoon of the sweetener, 1 sachet of Options and the vanilla extract. Chill it in the fridge until its required.
  3. Whisk the eggs and remaining sweetener together until thick and creamy.
  4. Sieve in the cocoa and remaining Options and fold into the egg mixture using a metal spoon.
  5. Divide the mixture between 12 bun or cake cases and bake on the top shelf of the oven for 10 minutes, until firm.
  6. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
  7. Once cool, remove from the paper cases and sandwich 2 buns together with the cream filling.
