BBQ paprika and herb chicken wings

With ever rising food costs, this extremely economical meal is a welcome and tasty treat. Simple marinade and freezes well too. Why not make up BBQ packs for the freezer ready for those glorious warm days on the BBQ or grill inside if its raining or cold.

Ingredients
Makes: 12 wings
- 12 chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried mixed herbs (oregano, thyme and rosemary)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- Rinse the wings under water and pat dry with absorbent paper.
- Lay the wings in a shallow dish (non metallic). Sprinkle over the paprika, herbs and seasoning. Pour over the olive oil and using your hands mix well and rub into the wings. Cover with cling film and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Cook on the BBQ. Depending on the size of the wings they should be cooked in about 30 minutes. I tend to be on the cautious side and cook a little longer but I also like them a little charred.
Freezing tip
Prepare as method and place into double freezer bags. Ensure fully defrosted before cooking.

Serving suggestion
Served here with potatoes cooked in foil on BBQ and a tomato, carrot and onion salad. Also goes nice with a garden salad and french fries.
