Marshmallow chocolate mousse

    An egg-free solution to chocolate mousse - and no more folding in egg whites or waiting for ages for it to set!

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 knob butter
    • 1 large packet marshmallows
    • 500g cooking chocolate, chopped
    • 4 teaspoons water
    • 250ml whipping cream, whipped, or ready whipped cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1. Melt butter in a heat-proof bowl and toss in marshmallows.
    2. Melt marshmallows, chocolate and 4 spoons of water in a double boiler. Take off the heat.
    3. Fold in already whipped cream and vanilla.
    4. Pour mixture into little bowls or 1 large bowl. Chill and serve!


    Work fast or marshmallows will begin to set.


    To make it easier for stirring use a metal spoon dipped in water.

    turned out really well but it was a tad too liquid like... but apart from that was really tasty! this is how mine turned out... ( i decorated at the top)  -  05 Apr 2016
