    About this recipe: An egg-free solution to chocolate mousse - and no more folding in egg whites or waiting for ages for it to set!

    Baje Sofala, Mozambique

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1 knob butter
    • 1 large packet marshmallows
    • 500g cooking chocolate, chopped
    • 4 teaspoons water
    • 250ml whipping cream, whipped, or ready whipped cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:1hr cooling  ›  Ready in:1hr20min 

    1. Melt butter in a heat-proof bowl and toss in marshmallows.
    2. Melt marshmallows, chocolate and 4 spoons of water in a double boiler. Take off the heat.
    3. Fold in already whipped cream and vanilla.
    4. Pour mixture into little bowls or 1 large bowl. Chill and serve!

    Tip

    Work fast or marshmallows will begin to set.

    Tip

    To make it easier for stirring use a metal spoon dipped in water.
