    About this recipe: Crunchy snack for everyone! Coconut and rolled oat flapjacks are perfect for packed lunches or picnics.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 30 Crunchies

    • 160g rolled oats
    • 90g dessicated coconut
    • 175g caster sugar
    • 125g plain flour
    • 150g butter
    • 5 teaspoons golden syrup
    • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Mix oats, coconut, sugar and flour and set aside.
    3. Melt butter and syrup together, then add in bicarbonate soda.
    4. When this begins to foam, add in dry ingredients and mix. Spread evenly into a greased baking tray.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
    6. Cut into squares, cool, and store in a tin.

    Warning these are addictive!! So easy to make and really delicious. I reduced the amount of sugar and butter but they were just as delicious. Just what I was looking for, thank you! - 22 May 2014
