Batida de coco (Brazilian coconut cocktail)

    Batida (meaning 'shaken' in Portugese) is a Brazilian cocktail recipe normally made of a fruit or fruit juice and sweetened condensed milk. Use the condensed milk tin to measure the vodka and ice, as well.

    • 1 (397g) tin sweetened condensed milk
    • 200ml coconut milk
    • 1 tinful vodka
    • 1 tinful crushed ice
    • desiccated coconut for garnish (optional)

    1. Blend condensed milk, coconut milk, vodka and ice in a blender. Serve in glasses and sprinkle with coconut, if desired.

    I decided to make a 'virgin' version (no alcohol) of this and found it to be way too sweet. I think the addition of the vodka would balance it out. 5 stars because I did leave out a main ingredient.  -  09 Jan 2017  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
