Traditional brandy sauce

    A traditional recipe for brandy sauce. This brandy sauce is easy to make and a lighter alternative to brandy butter. Enjoy!

    Serves: 8 

    • 30g unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons plain flour
    • 220ml milk
    • 30ml brandy
    • 50g caster sugar

    1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and stir until the butter and flour are well combined.
    2. Pour in milk gradually, stirring constantly as it thickens.
    3. Once thick, add brandy and sugar. Taste and add more sugar if desired. Add more milk to reach desired consistency, if wished. Serve warm.
